The ECG1941 Covered Grill promotes fire safety by reducing floating cinders. The hinged cover holds in smoke and heat to give food that "smoked flavor", and also helps protect the inner parts from the elements. The cover is made of 14 ga. sheet steel. The heavy fire box is made of 10 ga. steel plate with 11 ga. steel end panels.
